Teens get pregnant and have to drop school, drop must of their friends and focus on yourself and the new baby. Some teens take full responsibility, some consider adoption or abortion. In 2008, approximately 1.21 million abortions took place. More then half were  teen pregnancies. My very first pregnancy ended in an abortion. Once you become get the pregnancy terminated you feel a sense of guilt and you become very depressed for most. Most teens are forced to have an abortion and turn to drug after that. Some teens, months later may become pregnant again because of guilt or they felt they wanted to have the baby and couldn't make their own decision. My decision was on my own because I became very sick and I thought it was abnormal after finding out it was inherited from my grandma side of the family, so I was despite to become pregnant again and months later I was.

Birth control failure

The number 1 birth control source is no sex, the second is any birth control method such as pills, Depo etc. Finally the third is condoms however to can break and lead to an unexpected teen pregnancy. Most teens use only one and that's birth control pills or Depo. My experience I use birth control but due to acne and other complications I stop the birth control contraceptives. Other side effects may be reasons why other teens stop using birth control. Teen pregnancy can be completely preventable if their in no sex involve at all. Having a teen pregnancy makes me anxious to talk to my two girls about teen pregnancy, STD's and HIV. I never knew teem pregnancy had had such a major impact on life or society. Now I am looking into organization to talk to teens about teen pregnancy. Its major! It may seem small too some but its not. I learned that most parents of teen were teen parents their self, that's why they pressure their children about the risk of becoming pregnant at a young age. Celebrities are even help supporting the cause of preventing teen pregnancy like Ciara,Senator Hillary Clinton, Katie Couric, Paula Zahn, Governor Thomas Kean, Jane Fonda, and Kim Catrall. Past performers have included Jackson Browne, Jennifer Hudson, Lionel Richie, Teddy Geiger, Jewel, Ashlee Simpson, and Destiny’s Child. Teen pregnancy preventable, it just take two responsible teens to sit down and talk about birth control and condoms before planning to have sex.

Trending Topic

Teen pregnancy has become one of the most trending topic. Ways  to prevent it. Methods to protect  yourself. A baby is actually one of the best things you can get from having unprotected sex in my opinion. There are so many STD's to begin let alone HIV or Aids. Some teen mom don't point out the importance of the most important things that can happen when you have unprotected sex. They explain to their teen how you can have baby so get on birth control. I'm a victim. My family only told me about the pregnancy not the STD's you can get while having unprotected sex I learned in school. But I didn't take that serious because I felt what was the chances?  People focus their attention on teen pregnancy. Billions of dollars are spent taking care of teenage mothers and their children and they are more likely to be in the poverty bracket. I fall under that bracket. I am now a mother of two and poverty is the number issue I am having. When you are a teen a pregnant you don't think about those problems especially if you are under the care of your parents or family. As a parent I am afraid of just that, having to finish raising and taking care of my teen and now she's having a baby. If you have addition children as I do that makes it even harder. I can understand how parents try to prevent that from happening by talking about it with their teens. You have to understand that any way it goes your child is at risk for many possibilities. Teen pregnancy has become one of the biggest trending topics because parents and others are trying to prevent. Shows like 16 and pregnant is a perfect show for teens wanted to have babies at young ages, those teens are living real lives putting their life on hold and having a very difficult time with money. The show is very popular I'm not a teen mom anymore but I still like the show because it show you there are struggles that come with being a teen mom once the show stopping belly is gone.

My Teen Pregnancy

Pregnancy for me was an experience that most adults want. When My 1st born Jada was born I was unemployed, Her father worked through Temp Agencies which wasn'ta perminat position. I lived in the house with my Aunt and Grandma. They were my backbones when it came to taking care of my baby. I was a first time mom and I knew things would be difficult to handle without the help of her father living in a different household. My family was very strict, My now husband couldnt even come visit his child for long without someone peeking aroung the corner spying on us. Almost like any other teen I wanted to have a family so I sacrafice leaving the comfort of my own home to try and make things work as a family with The father. I spent countless nights out at his house. Cold winter nights I would get up and take my newborn out the house just to be with him. Kids amune system arent strong like adults, so eventually my baby end up becoming sick all the time and my aunt became very dissapointed in me because she felt I was taking the baby out the house to early and to much. I decided I wanted a family more then anything I just took most of our belongings to his house and if we ran out of anything I would wait until my aunt went to work and went home to reload. I beleive most teens are always willing to sacrifice things as I did, But in the end we realize that when your a teen pregnant mom you need to be home with your family because you have unlimited help with the baby, I eventually went back home because I became stress with taking care of the baby alone. My family welcomed me back with open arms and was very happy to have the baby back at home, They gave me like a two day break from my baby so I could catch up on my rest. I learned my lesson not to leave home because my family was supporting and helping me.

Rating Teen Pregnancy

In the United State 750.000 teen pregnancies occurs annually.
Eight in ten of these pregnancies are unintended and 81 percent are to unmarried teens according to TeenPregnany.org. Most teens drop out of high school because they feel that now they have a bigger responsibility and that's to take care of their child. Some continue to college and obtain their degree.
Most teen bond grows stronger with the father of the child, some even become married such as Leah and Corey from Teen mom 2.They feel obligated to each other and the child/children deserves both parents together not thinking on the their feeling toward one another. Most teenage parents remain single. Most teenagers become pregnant because of their peers around them. Some form a pact such as "A Pregnancy Pact"  the movie that aired on Lifetime about a group of friends made a promise to each other they all will become pregnant around the same time is a proven example also based on a true story. When becoming a young mother you are faced with different challenges, temptations of going back to your old life as only worry was what you were going to wear to school the next day? I learned the hard way although I had to drop out of school for a while my pregnancy was difficult but I completed high school and my baby was my #1 motivation to completing it. Some Teens are encourage, some are discourage. It all depends on what type of supportive family you have and your attitude with wanting to achieve more in life when your faced with a Teen pregnancy.

My becoming of a teen mom

Becoming pregnant at the age of 19 years old officially made me a statistic as being a teen mom. I never imagined in a million years that I would become a mother at such a young age. The feeling I had when I found out I was pregnant was, How am I going to tell my family I'm pregnant? I didn't have to because the effects the pregnancy had on me hormonal, such as sickness, my family detected it right away. The effects it had on me emotionally was how am I going to raise a baby? Finish school? Anything? My family was completely against abortions so that wasn't an option. Adoption well I couldn't imagine carrying a baby for nine months becoming attached to it knowing I wouldn't raise it. So I kept her, She was born on January 26,2008. I was so happy. Once she got here things were so different, late night diaper changing, bottle feedings and cries. Family and friends wanted to come visit during the day so I got a little rest, but my nights was restless nights for the first six months. I became emotionally drained and suffered from postpartum depression. I always had these thoughts in my mind of how was people going to think of me as a young mother having a baby out of wedlock. Me and the father was a couple but we had so many ups and downs that we couldn't be around each other for a long period of time since I had  became pregnant and had the baby I notice our relationship worsen as a lot of relationships I've seen on television such as "Teen Moms" . The Journey on my teen pregnany had only began when I stop taking birth control and thought I was unable to produce. Most teen pregnancies are planned but mines was very unexpected.
